NASA Force is a NASA hiring initiative developed with the U.S. Office of Personnel Management. This Privacy Policy explains how nasaforce.gov and its hosting provider handle information when you visit. The site has no forms, accounts, email signup, application upload, or database.

1. Information We Collect

The application does not collect information from you through forms or accounts. Cloudflare processes request and network metadata to deliver and protect the site.

• Cloudflare uses request metadata to route traffic and provide security.
• Cloudflare Workers observability records operational information about Worker requests and errors.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

nasaforce.gov does not collect, store, or process:

• Your name, email address, phone number, or mailing address
• Resumes, applications, work history, or academic records
• Social Security numbers, government identification numbers, or background-check information
• Health, biometric, or medical information
• Payment or financial information
• Precise device geolocation (we never request GPS access)

When you click "Join Now," you leave nasaforce.gov for NASA.gov, a separate website with its own privacy notices. Any information you submit there is handled under those notices, not this policy.

3. How We Use Your Information

• Request metadata: Cloudflare uses it to deliver, route, and protect site traffic
• Worker observability: helps monitor site operation and diagnose technical issues

We do not sell, rent, or trade visitor information, and we do not use this data for advertising or profiling.

4. Cookies & Local Storage

The application does not write cookies, local storage, or session storage.

• Operational cookies: Cloudflare may set cookies when enabled edge features require them.

You can clear cookies and local storage at any time through your browser settings, or browse in a private/incognito window.

5. Third-Party Service

We rely on Cloudflare to operate the site:

Cloudflare

Hosts and delivers nasaforce.gov, processes request and network metadata, and provides Workers observability for operational monitoring.

Fonts, scripts, images, video, and WebGL textures load from nasaforce.gov. Links to NASA.gov and ndstudio.gov take you to separate websites with their own privacy practices.

6. Data Security

We take a minimal-data approach: the most reliable way to protect your information is not to collect it. For the limited information that does pass through nasaforce.gov, we apply standard safeguards:

• HTTPS/TLS encryption for traffic to and from the site
• No application forms, accounts, uploads, or databases
• No application-managed cookies or browser storage

7. Your Rights & Choices

You are in control of your visit. You can:

• Browse without submitting a form: the site works fully without a form, account, or application upload
• Clear local data: delete cookies and local storage for nasaforce.gov from your browser at any time
• Decide separately about applying: any decision to apply or share information with NASA happens off-site on nasa.gov and is governed by the privacy notices there

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the site evolves or as the services we rely on change. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
